Body Measurements: Track & Log

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 May 2026 · Last updated: 30 May 2026

The short version. Body Measurements is built to keep your data yours.

• Everything you log stays on your device by default.

No account, no login, no email required.

No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking. We don't sell or share your data — ever.

• Optional iCloud sync uses your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. Your progress photos never leave your device.

1.Who we are

This app, “Body Measurements: Track & Log” (bundle identifier com.gainlogger.BodyMeasurements), is developed and operated by Vlad Gasin, an individual developer (“we”, “us”, “the developer”). This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information.

For the purposes of the GDPR, the data controller is Vlad Gasin, based in Israel — a country recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection. The developer operates no servers and transfers no data itself; any cloud processing is carried out by Apple under Apple's own safeguards. Controller contact: support@gainlogger.app.

2.Our privacy approach

The app is a personal body-measurement and progress tracker designed to work entirely on your device. We deliberately built it with no user accounts, no servers of our own, and no third-party analytics or advertising. We have no access to your measurements, photos, or health data.

3.What information the app handles

You may choose to enter or capture the following, all of which is stored locally on your device:

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, or any advertising identifier.

4.Where your data is stored

On your device. All measurements, GLP-1 logs, photos, and settings are stored locally on your iPhone (using Apple's on-device database and file storage).

Optional iCloud sync. If you turn on iCloud Sync (a Pro feature, off by default), your measurements and GLP-1 logs are synced through your own private iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud database, managed and encrypted by Apple. We cannot see or access it. You can turn sync off at any time in Settings.

Your progress photos are never synced and never uploaded. They always remain only on the device where you took them.

5.Apple Health

If you enable Apple Health sync (a Pro feature, off by default and requiring your explicit permission), the app writes supported metrics to Apple Health so your other health apps can use them: weight, waist circumference, height, body mass index (BMI), and body-fat percentage.

This is one-way. The app only writes these values when you log them — it never reads data from Apple Health, and it never modifies or deletes anything in Health. Custom measurements that Apple Health doesn't support (for example chest, hips, or biceps) are not written. You control this permission in the Health app or iOS Settings.

6.No accounts, no tracking, no third parties

7.Purchases

Optional Pro features are sold as in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Apple processes your payment — the app never sees or stores your payment-card details or billing information. The app only receives a confirmation of whether you have an active Pro entitlement. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8.Device permissions

The app asks for the following permissions only when you use the related feature, and each is optional:

You can grant or revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings.

9.Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area, or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Because all data stays on the device under the device owner's control, we never receive any such information.

10.Your rights & choices

Because your data lives on your device, you have direct and complete control over it at all times:

Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for any processing is your consent and the performance of the app's core functionality (Article 6(1)(a) and (b)); because everything happens on your own device and within your own iCloud and Apple Health accounts, the developer does not access, receive, or control your data. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection — all of which you can exercise yourself directly on your device as described above. If you are a California resident, you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and to non-discrimination, and we do not sell or share your personal information and operate no tracking, so there is nothing to opt out of. We also honour your rights under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law. If you have any request we can help with, contact us using Section 13.

11.Data retention & deletion

We retain none of your data on our side, because we never receive it. Your data is kept on your device until you delete it. To remove everything: delete entries and photos within the app, then delete the app. If iCloud Sync was enabled, remove the app's data from your iCloud account in iOS Settings.

12.Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this same URL. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
